For several years, Jose Luis Lavín worked in the most prestigious firms in Mexico City such as White & Case; Creel, Garcia-Cuellar and Müggenburg (currently Creel, Garcia-Cuellar, Aiza y Enríquez) where he focused his professional practice in general matter of corporative law, merges and acquisitions, railway and aeronautical law, debt restructuration, international arbitration, bank, financial and securities transactions.

His corporative practice includes advisory to public and private companies and other entities in the industry related to merges and acquisitions, matters of corporative government, transborder joint venture agreements, strategic alliances and different transactional matters. He has participated and performed Due Diligence. He has also worked as attorney in fact in different national and multinational companies and he has been part of different Administration Committees.
